What Uphook is
Uphook is a job discovery platform built for India. You upload your resume once. We read it into a profile of your skills, experience, education and location, compare that profile against every live role we hold, and rank them by how well they actually fit.
Every score comes with its reasons. You can see what matched and what did not before you spend an evening on an application, which is the part of job hunting that usually happens in the dark.
Why we do not match on keywords
Keyword search asks whether your resume contains a word. It buries a role that wants two years under one that wants eight, because both said "analyst". It rewards people who have learned to write resumes and penalises people who have been busy doing the work.
We match on skills against a canonical skills taxonomy, so a role that asks for something you can do finds you whether or not you happened to phrase it their way. That is the whole product, and it is why the tagline is Skills, not keywords.
Where the jobs come from
Directly from company career sites and the applicant tracking systems behind them. Not from reposts, not from aggregators, not from recruiters paying for placement. When you apply, you apply on the company's own site.
None of the companies whose roles we list is a partner or a sponsor. No employer pays to appear higher in your results, and there is no arrangement under which one could.
What we do with your resume
Your resume is used to build your profile, and that is all. We do not send it to employers, recruiters or anyone else. We are not building a data business on the side. You choose where to apply, and nothing leaves Uphook until you do.

What it costs
Uploading your resume, seeing your matches and opening every role is free. We may add paid plans for advanced tools later. Seeing your matches stays free, and you will never be asked to pay to apply for a job.
If that ever changes, it changes in the Terms of Service and on this page, not quietly.
