End User Licence Agreement

1. This agreement

This End User Licence Agreement governs your use of the Uphook application at uphook.ai, including the website and any software we make available through it. By creating an account or using the service you accept it.

It sits alongside our Terms of Service, which govern the service relationship, Privacy Policy, which governs your personal data, and Refund and Cancellation Policy. This agreement covers only the licence to use the software.

2. The licence we grant you

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Uphook for your own job search, for as long as your account is active and you are complying with this agreement.

The licence is to use the service as it is provided. It does not transfer ownership of anything, and it does not extend to anyone else. Your account is yours; sharing your credentials is not permitted.

3. What you may not do

You may not:

• Copy, scrape, harvest or systematically extract job listings, company data or any other content from the service, by any means, automated or manual.
• Resell, redistribute, sublicense or otherwise make the service or its content available to anyone else, whether or not for a fee.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the service, or attempt to derive its source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
• Use the service to build, train or improve a competing product or a dataset, including any machine learning model.
• Interfere with the operation of the service, including attempting to bypass rate limits, access controls or authentication.
• Upload a document that is not yours to upload, or that contains someone else's personal data without their knowledge.
• Use the service for anything unlawful, or to impersonate another person.

4. Your content

Your resume and everything else you upload remains yours. We do not claim ownership of it.

You grant us the licence we need in order to run the service for you: to store your documents, process them into your profile, and use that profile to find and rank roles. That licence exists so the product can work, and for no other purpose. It ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.

We do not send your documents to employers or recruiters, and we do not sell them.

5. Our content

The Uphook software, its design, its name and logo, and the skills taxonomy and matching logic behind it are ours or our licensors'. Nothing in this agreement transfers any of it to you.

Job listings originate with the companies that posted them. They are shown to you so you can decide where to apply, not licensed to you for any other use.

6. Match results are guidance

Match scores and their explanations are our assessment of fit based on the information available to us. They are not a promise of an interview, an offer or employment, and they are not advice about your career.

Listings are collected from sources we do not control. We re-check them regularly, but a role may close or change without us knowing immediately. Verify the details on the company's own site before you rely on them.

7. Changes to the service

We are early and the product changes. We may add, alter or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you get, we will say so rather than let you discover it.

8. Ending the licence

You may stop using Uphook and delete your account at any time. The licence ends when you do.

We may suspend or end your licence if you breach this agreement, in particular section 3. Where the breach is something you can put right, we will tell you what it is and give you a chance to do so first, unless the breach is seriously harmful to the service or to other people.

Sections 4, 5 and 6 survive the end of this agreement.

9. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
